Versatec Energy is one of the sponsors of the Process Safety Congres, Wednesday May 15th, 2019 at the Van der Valk Hotel Dordrecht.
The goal of this congress is to increase knowledge about major accidents at major hazard sites. Major hazard sites are industrial sites that manufacture, process or store dangerous chemicals and other substances in quantities that could pose a risk to workers, people in the vicinity of the site and the environment in the event of a major accident.
So called ‘BRZO-companies’ have to comply with special regulations (based on the Seveso-guidelines, in the Netherlands translated into the ‘BRZO’: ‘Besluit Risico’s Zware Ongevallen’). They have to take all necessary measures to prevent major accidents and in the event of such accidents, limit the effects on people and the environment. For certain sites with particularly high quantities of dangerous substances, operators must also describe their control measures to prevent major accidents in a ‘Safety Report’.
Versatec advises companies on compliance with regulatory developments at both a national and an international level and helps to make sure all the required documentation is available, in compliance and transparent. Versatec also performs risk assessments and writes all necessary support documentation.
