Antwerp, 16 July 2020 – Versatec is joining forces with Rombit, a company which helps industrial organizations to excel in efficiency, safety and security through innovative technologies. Versatec is the first official distributor of Rombit’s digital safety wearables in the Netherlands.
The Antwerp-based technology company Rombit recently got worldwide press coverage with its digital bracelet to prevent corona infections in the workplace. The Romware Covid wearable warns employees if they come too close to each other and enables contact tracing at work, fully compliant with privacy regulations.
It all began when the Port of Antwerp started working with Rombit’s bracelets in mid-April. Since then, international interest has been enormous.
“We want to offer our customers – maritime services, industrial organizations, construction companies, and more – the best service, in Belgium and abroad. That’s why we are now rolling out an international partner network,” states Rombit’s new CEO John Baekelmans.
Corona features and more
Klaas-Otto Ykema, CEO Versatec continues: “We were looking for a sustainable solution, which also offers added value after Corona. The Romware product range meets the high demands of our customers: the bracelets are easy to use, accurate and rugged. In addition to social distancing and contact tracing, they offer many other safety applications, such as fall detection, collision warning, and an SOS button. In addition, the range has been approved by the privacy committee. That’s why we have selected Rombit’s solution.”
Kimball Felix, Rombit’s VP Partnerships, adds: “Versatec knows the safety and security challenges in industrial environments inside and out. We share the same mission and vision. Therefore, we are convinced that they are the right choice for bringing our wearable to the Netherlands and kicking off our international partner program.”
Rombit’s Romware Covid solutions are available as of today via Versatec.
